Details:
In the evening on Monday 12th October, a spectacular alignment of Mercury above the two-day old Waxing Crescent Moon with Venus below was recorded setting in late sunset twilight sky above Chikanga Township to the WSW of Mutare. As darkness approached the Moon developed bright Earthshine and the second brightest star in the Libra Constellation, Zebenelgunubi, became visible above Mercury. Eventually the Moon below Mercury reached the horizon behind Chikanga Township. Camera: Tripod-mounted Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ60 in sunset and manual exposure modes.
