The Veil Nebula is a massive, colorful cloud of heated gas and dust in the constellation Cygnus, located roughly 2,100 to 2,400 light-years from Earth. It is a supernova remnant, the expanding debris of a massive star about 20 times more massive than our Sun that exploded roughly 8,000 to 10,000 years ago. The entire loop spans about 110 light-years across and covers an area of the sky equal to about six full moons. Its delicate, draped, and filamentary look comes from fast-moving blast waves crashing into walls of cooler interstellar gas. 09/20/26. Ballico, California. Seestar S50 pro.
