Details:
During our first night of a stargazing trip to La Palma island we made this image of the carbon star TX Piscium. With a color index of +2.6, the red giant is one of the most colorful naked eye stars. When observed with binoculars, the distinct orange tint of the mag 5 star is plainly visible. The picture shows the Pisces circlet above the roof of the finca we stay in, the two bright stars on the left and on the top are Algenib and Markab of the Pegasus square. The 5 day old moon low in the SSW gave the sky a bluish hue that shows on the 5x60sec exposure, made with a Seestar S30P.
