Details:
Mars is closing the gap with Jupiter each day. They are now only 10 degrees apart, heading toward their conjunction on November 16. Mars will be brighter at the upcoming conjunction than it has been at any of its conjunctions with Jupiter since the late 1980's. This morning, Mars is close to the carbon star X Cancri.
