Details:
Around inferior conjunction, when Venus is between the Sun and us, its thick atmosphere diffracts and scatters the sunlight and extends its crescent behond the usual 180°. Today, Venus was only 6.7° from the Sun when I took this image with my Soleye 300 telescope.
